Hall Cosplay
As a quick and easy way to show off your character, Hall Cosplay is an ideal competition for any cosplayer. Hall Cosplay runs Friday and Saturday during the designated eight time slots. That’s potentially eight different characters you can enter!
If you have never done a Cosplay competition before this is a great way to start. All you need is a costume and a pose. Regardless of experience, Hall Cosplay offers eight separate opportunities to showcase your creative cosplay work.
This event takes place in Cosplay Central. You do not need to register in advance! Simply show up at one of the Hall Cosplay time slots and fill out a short entry form then pose for your picture. We will have a white and black backdrop. All pictures are taken by a photographer and then voted on according to time slot by Anime Iowa staff members in the preliminaries. In the final round, Cosplay staff chooses the overall Hall Cosplay winner from the top time slot winners.

The Hall Cosplay rules for AnimeIowa 2013 have not yet been finalized. Last year’s rules are posted for reference. They can and will change for 2013.
Hall Contest Rules 2012
- Contest is open to all Anime Iowa attendees (must have badge to play); Any AI staff competing in Hall Cosplay is prohibited from voting.
- Reference material is not required, but recommended.
- Entries may be made as an individual or as a group. All groups will be judged as one entry, meaning the group as a whole counts as an individual.
- You may enter multiple costumes, but not the same costume multiple times.
