On Saturday February 8th, 2014 there is be a Staff Recruitment Meeting for AnimeIowa. If you have ever been interested being on the AnimeIowa Staff feel free to show up; no obligations. Come for the Staff Recruitment, stay for the food, snacks, and after-meeting party. The meeting will be at 4pm at the Coralville Marriott Hotel (check the hotel displays for room). Be sure to check out the Department descriptions to figure out what area of Staff you would be interested in. We are needing an additional 10+ people to help staff AnimeIowa at the 2014 convention.

Starting December 15th you will be able to pre-register for AnimeIowa 2014 Online or by Mail.
- $35 Holiday Special December 15th – January 31
- $45 Pre-registration Feb 1st – Mar 17th
- $55 Late-registration March 18th – May 31st
Pre-registration will be open until May 31st, after that you will have to wait until the convention and register at the door for $60. Be sure to read the Registration page and the Registration and Badge FAQ for more information.

Looking forward to getting your room for AnimeIowa 2014? Planning ahead for that reservation? For those of you early birds wanting a bit of time to save up, AnimeIowa’s 2014 Room Blocking at the Coralville Marriott is set to open on Monday, March 10, 2014 for the general public.
More information is coming soon, so keep your eyes out in the Hotel section of the AnimeIowa Forums and website over the coming months so you can be prepared to reserve your room at the Coralville Marriott for AnimeIowa 2014!

The executives and staff would like to thank everyone who came to AnimeIowa 2013!
Attendance was again high, and once again everyone demonstrated what great bunch of people we have coming to this convention. Your maturity and honesty is truly welcomed and we appreciate your willingness to work with our staff as they do their best to ensure a safe and fun environment for everyone.
We learned many lessons this year and intend to implement new policies, tweak some existing ones, and generally come up with better ways to do some things. Again, we thank you for your honest feedback and want to ensure you that we are indeed listening! If you haven’t done so already,
please take a few moments and fill out an online feedback form or comment on the feedback sections of our forum. You will definitely be heard, so
be honest and respectful.
Next year will be even better! We’re already working on signing up guests and discussing programming ideas. Look for information on the forums as it comes available, and remember to give us feedback!
On a final note, it is demonstrated year after year that the convention cannot be successful without competent staff. We are always looking for people who bring their own talents to our group, and if you would like to help us out by being a staff member then please let us know! Look for an announcement of the first staff meeting and come join us.

Just a reminder, anyone that is interested in participating in the Masquerade must attend one of the Masquerade Informational Panels. The panels will be at 7 PM and 10 PM Friday and 1 PM Saturday. Make sure to bring any audio you need to submit for your Masquerade presentation.
