Important dates coming. Important dates are coming soon!

First… Tier two of panel submissions begins on Jan. 31st. If you missed getting in your panel during Tier one, you can still get it in and on the schedule during Tier two.
Imagine looking forward to that special panel about your favorite Anime only to find out everyone else thought the same thing; that someone would submit the panel and no one did. It would be such a let down to spend the weekend wanting to discuss characters, costumes, plots, and plot twists. But without a panel to break the ice and bring fans of your special Anime together it may not happen. You can find all the information to help you submit your panel along with the link to the submission form at the Paneling section. of our website.

Second… The last day to register at the Holiday pricing of $45.00 is also Jan. 31st. On Feb. 1st the price increases.
Save some extra money for the Marketplace, food or just for incase by registering for the convention now. Buu Chan can’t wait to see you in July.

And remember… AnimeIowa registrations make great Valentines gifts for your anime love. You can find out more at

Family Programming looking to build additional pylons!

Our Family Programming Team is looking for Legos so we can add a Lego Table to our Family Programming fare.

If you have Legos or know of where we could get some for cheap, please email family@animeiowa.com with any information. We will also accept offbrands as long as they work with the normal Lego bricks.

We appreciate all feedback and suggestions. Thank you!

Announcing Family Programming’s Big New Event!

GODZILLA-TOWN
“The arrogance of man is thinking nature is in our control, and not the other way around.”

Friday night of Anime Iowa, children ages 4-12 are encouraged to come and bring out their inner “Kaiju” (monster) to completely annihilate a small cardboard city!
While the destruction is left up to our smaller Kaiju’s of Anime Iowa, we have an art contest that is open to all ages! Break out your creativity and submit a cardboard building to us for a chance to win some “monstrous” prizes!
Crayons, sharpies, paint, any medium, multiple entries is fine as well. Please no sharp attachments to the boxes however. (We’d hate to puncture our little kaiju’s claws)
There will be both a children’s division and adults division for best cardboard structures, 1st and 2nd place in each. The winners will also have their box-buildings displayed in the art show for the duration of the weekend for all to see!
If interested in participating in this contest, all box buildings must be dropped off to the Family Programming room by 5pm on Friday. You may also bring it to the convention flat if you wish for traveling purposes, as we will have tape on hand to re-set up boxes.
Any questions may be emailed to family@animeiowa.com or posted to the forum thread for Family Programming.
We hope to see your creativity and little ones for Godzilla-town at Anime Iowa!

A Big Thank You from the Paneling Team!

Hello AnimeIowa Congoers!

The AnimeIowa Paneling Team would like to thank everyone for their panel submissions for 2015. We had many fantastic panels submitted to us this year. In fact, for one of the first times, we had so many panels submitted that we did not have the paneling space for all of them! We truly appreciate everyone’s time and effort in coming up with these fantastic panels. You all truly make the convention what it is. We would like to remind our wonderful panelists to check the forums for your panel check in times as well as the awesome new perks we have prepared for you. Also keep your eyes pealed for new big events for AnimeIowa 2015!

Once again, thank you all for your submissions. We look forward to seeing all of you at AnimeIowa 2015 and making this year the best year yet!
