Anime Iowa is the largest anime convention in Iowa and still growing, hosting 3000+ attendees each year. It is held once a year in July Friday through Sunday. Anime Iowa 2023 will be held in Coralville, Iowa at The Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel and Conference Center.
Anime Iowa was also the first Anime convention in the Midwest premiering in 1997. We have moved twice from the Iowa City/Coralville and Cedar Rapids, but have always returned home. People from all over come to Iowa for the friendly feel of the Anime Iowa convention. The convention has programming for families and late night shows for those older anime fans.
